New Mazda Models for 2017
With 2016 wrapping up, many of us are looking forward to the new year and all the excitement 2017 is sure to bring. Mazda is no different and many models are getting some major upgrades. Indeed, Mazda’s commitment to innovation and providing the best overall driving experience shows no signs of slowing down. Here are just a few new things to watch out for in 2017.
Mazda3 One of the most popular compact sedans is back with a brand new look for the new year. While all of the great features of the Mazda3 are sticking around, there are a few more bells and whistles being added. It’s hard to improve on a model Car and Driver has named to its Top 10 List 3 years in a row, but that’s not slowing down the new Mazda3. Get ready for a sleeker exterior, sharpened for a new look that’s sure to turn heads! In addition, some serious technological upgrades have also been made. The Mazda3 is taking after its bigger brother, the CX-9, and adding an electric parking brake, more stylish door panels, and Mazda’s G-vectoring steering to give the driver better control.
Mazda6 The Mazda3 isn’t getting all the attention. The midsize Mazda6 is also breaking into 2017 with some fantastic improvements. It may look the same as the 2016 model, but the devil is in the details. In addition to G-vectoring steering, be ready for new interior patterns, a heated steering wheel, and a total upgrade to the gauge cluster—no longer monochromatic, we’ve gone full color, baby! While these might not be the biggest changes, they’re certainly welcome.
CX-9 Not to be outdone, the Mazda CX-9 is back for 2017 with style. This crossover has shed some major weight to dramatically improve its handling. Careful, it’s easy to think you’re driving a smaller car with how light and reactive this bad boy is. Another great aspect of the new CX-9 is its top EPA fuel-economy ratings. That means you don’t have to sacrifice legroom for efficiency!
Miata There’s no way Mazda would let the Miata go unnoticed in the new year. Get ready for the all-new Mazda MX-5 RT. The “RT” stands for retractable fastback (roof), a major departure from anything we’ve seen in previous Miatas. This new roof opens up in 12 seconds and takes up less space than the more common retractable roof. While this new tech adds a little more weight to the MX-5, we’re sure these improvements will have us drooling over this car like always have. Not much has changed under the hood, but Mazda’s SkyActiv technology is enough to satisfy even the biggest car snob. So no matter your style, the 2017 Mazda line is sure to have something amazing for you. So whether you’re looking to upgrade your current Mazda vehicle or finally realized you’ll never find a better car, you can look forward to some great new features that are sure to make you the envy of every other driver on the block.
