The 2019 Mazda CX-3 is part of the first generation of CX-3, which was introduced back in 2016. The 2019 Mazda CX-3 trim levels are Touring, Grand Touring, and the Sport base trim level.
Mazda CX-3 Sport
All trim levels are powered by the 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine, which is able to produce 148 horsepower, and 146 lb-ft of torque. This is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive is standard for all trims, but all-wheel drive is available on all models. The engine is capable of keeping up the pace at highway speeds, and the transmission is adequate in its responses.
Handling and steering is a forte of the CX-3, and according to Mazda, the suspension was retuned with new control arms, shocks, and bushings in order to provide better road responses. Similarly to the Sport trim level, the Touring model has low-speed automatic emergency braking, but it can be fitted with a full-speed system. One small detail worth noting is that as far as looks go, the amount of black trim around the glass aside helps the vehicle make a good show of its shape, and this is even more evident with the big 18-inch wheels that come with this trim level.
Mazda CX-3 Grand Touring
Last but not least, the range-topping trim level features adaptive headlights, LED exterior lighting, a sunroof, chrome exterior trim, full leather upholstery, a navigation system, and a cargo cover. Moreover, paddle shifters were added, as well as a 7-speaker Bose-branded premium audio system coupled with HD and satellite radio.
The Grand Touring also has advanced safety features, such as adaptive cruise control with full speed range, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and forward collision mitigation coupled with pedestrian detection.
